 The incongruity (2)

Andrew was awoken by his third alarm of the day, he looked over to see that it was 11 and he was very late to start his day. He sat up and ran his hands through his shaggy dark brown hair, in the mirror he saw his blue eyes were still groggy and dead from the drinks he had had last night, the breakup was really getting to him. With haste he jumped into the shower, McDonalds wasn't serving breakfast forever. He hopped in his 2012 Civic and made his way to get some breakfast, he still had to get groceries and take his mom to an early dinner so there was no time to make food for himself. Pulling into the drive through he couldn't help but notice the girl behind him, she looked so familiar, her curly blonde hair sat so perfectly, unmoved by anything and her blue eyes gave andrew butterflies, Andrew could have sworn he had met her before, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

“Hey buddy, I don't have all day and you're building up a line. Can you finish your order?” The drive through worker said with an irritated tone in his voice.

“Oh yea sorry, i'll just take a dark coffee with that egg mcmuffin.” Andrew said trying to shake off his morning grogginess. Andrew grabbe dhis food and pulled into the Target parking lot, he finished the McMuffin in around three bites and washed it down with a bottle of water he had in his car.

“God i'm gross.” he said to himself before wiping his mouth and heading in. as Andrew finished grabbing his essential he noticed a text from his mom.

“Are you still picking me up at 3?” the text read. The time on Andrew's phone read 1:30, he had just enough time to drive home and drop everything off before having to head out. He rushed to the checkout with his basket full of food. His checkout lane was right in front of the automatic door and outside in the parking lot Andrew saw a familiar car.

“Wait a second?” Andrew said puzzled, “That's that girl's car from the drive though, is she following me, if I wasn't so hungover I could probably figure out who she is.” Andrew said, stroking his 5 o'clock shadow. Just then a dainty voice behind him said.

“Hey sorry to bug you sir, but it's your turn to unleash your groceries.”

Andrew turned around and nearly jumped out of his skin, behind him sat the girl from the drive though. This was way too coincidental, she has to be following me, Andrew though.

“Oh hey, my bad. Thanks for letting me know, it's been a strange morning.” Andrew said, letting out a nervous laugh. The girl let out a genuine laugh in return. Now that Adnrew saw her up close she looked even more familiar, but he couldnt put his finger on it. After being rung up Adnrew spirited out of the store back to his car. On the drive home he was still puzzled by who this girl was. This thought bugged him till he was at dinner with his mom.

“Honey what is wrong you look like you've seen a ghost?” Andrews mom asked.

“It's nothing there's just this girl i keep-” Andrew paused as the exact girl he was talking about walked through the door to the restaurant. Andrews mom noticed and looked over.

“Her, honey that's your cousin. We should go say hi we haven't seen her in forever.” Horrified Andrew got up to run to the bathroom to get sick.

The stranger (7)

Morgan tipped his hat down, he wasn't here for much, just to meet someone. He sat alone at a bar table, dust blew in from the saloon doors. His Jet black hair sat combed back under his brown cowboy hat. On his hat was a bandolier or revolver ammunition. An older gentleman walked in, at the bar he ordered two drinks and made his way over to Morgan.

“Morgan Remmington?” The old man asked. Sliding a drink across the table to him.

“Aye, what am I looking for here Doc?” Morgan leaned forward grabbing the drink.

“It's a Chup, the biggest one ive ever seen. Its been cleaning out farms all across Tattnall. Locals have been calling her Anita. She's a real blood sucker.” Morgan stood up.

“She’ll be ash before sunrise.” Morgan said walking away from the old man. He turned for a second

“Meet me back here tomorrow, same time, i've got to collect my payment.” He turned back and walked towards his horse. Morgan mounted his horse and began reading up about Chupocabras. Nightfall rolled around and Morgan had just finished trapping a hog and leaving it on the outskirts of the woods. Directly under the hog was enough explosives to leave a small lake sized creator. Morgan was going to make sure this thing was dead, it had been ravenging towns all across the south, including Morgans, this was about revenge. The smell of death and copper filled the air and Morgan could see movement in the treeline, just in case he had a rifle sighted and aimed perfectly just in case the explosives didn't work. The thing was massive, at least 12 feet tall standing on its back legs, this really was the biggest one morpegan had ever seen. The Chup wasted no time bolting straight at the hog, it tackled it killing it instantly. Morgan pressed the detonator and a massive boom followed, Bits of the creature were blown everywhere. Morgan managed to find a paw, the same morning he knocked on the doctor's door.

“I finished early, here's your proof.” Morgan handed the doctor a sack that contained the hand, in return Morgan was paid.
