“You hunk of garbage.” Clay said as he smacked his mechanical arm against the wall

The shotgun shell clicked into place, “well ill be damned” Clay stared down the hall, about 30 yards away was Clays hunt. What stared back at him was a 12ft tall impossibly muscular humanoid creature. Its massive arms dragged on the ground as it dropped to all fours and charged Clay.

“I don’t know what crazy government experiment brought you into this world but I’m here to put you back in your cage” Clay’s shotgun arm folded back into his body, and out came a .50 Bmg Barret. Clay picked his hat up with his free hand and readied his rifle.

“Let’s see, one of these bullets can punch a hole through 10 feet on concrete. I wonder if it cant hit your heart” Clay remarked

A deafening blast echoed down the corridor as the monster hit the floor, Clay was thrown back onto the floor

Clay rose to his feet and looked around. “Man I don’t know why we ever strayed away European style castles, this place is amazing.”

A rift opened up under Clays’ feet dropping him onto the wooden floor of an outdated bar.

“Son of a bitch Ken, how many times have I told you about not opening the rifts under me! My legs aren’t broken I can still walk!” Clay shouted

“Clay, you were 156 feet underground, do you know how hard it was to pinpoint your location? You’re lucky you didn’t have to walk, did you finish your mission?” Ken asked.

“Yes.” Clay said looking at the floor

“By your tone, and the way you won’t look at me I assume he’s dead.” Ken said as he looked away.

Clay looked at himself in a nearby mirror. His lip was busted and bleeding down into his beard, his brown hair was matted against his head and one of his brown eyes was nearly swollen shut. “There was no way I could stop him without using lethal force he was way off the deep end whatever they did to him, he wasn’t human anymore” Clay said through gritted teeth.

“Clay, he was your brother, your partner, you had so many opportunities to help him. This isn’t the first time you left-” Ken was suddenly cut off

“You don’t understand the situation, don’t talk to me like you do.” Clay slammed his fist on one of the bar tables and walked off.

“Yep, just walk away Clay. That’s what you do best, you walked away from Mark and let him rot in prison after your deal went south. Keep running from your problems. I just hope you have the Stones to put a bullet in me next.” Ken said as he sat down at the table.

Clay entered the commander’s room, “Jax, its done, I took care of him.” Clay reported.

“So Mark is dead?” Jax questioned.

“With all due respect sir, this is a touchy subject” Clay responded sitting at the desk

“I understand, Marks’s loyalty was always under question. Although I never thought he would go to the foundation. It’s sickening the experiments they run on people.” Jax said shaking his head “Here are his dog tags, take a week or two off Clay”

With that Clay left the office.
